Hold Me Tight: Couples Workshop

Offered online and in-person 

Online-8 weekly sessions of 2 hours each. 

In-person-16 hours over a weekend-Friday 7-9, Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10-4

$495 per couple ($100 non-refundable deposit due at time of booking). 

Price for in-person workshop includes lunch on Saturday and Sunday as well as coffee, tea, and snacks.

Making a marriage work can be difficult as is evidenced by the high divorce rate both inside and outside the church. You got married expecting companionship and intimacy. You love each other but just can’t seem to figure out how to connect in a way that is fulfilling for both of you. In your attempts to be heard and seen, you have developed a pattern of negative interactions that perpetuate the problem and even make it worse. This workshop is for you.

The Hold Me Tight workshop uses the emotionally-focused approach which recognizes and respects our human need for connection. It has been empirically tested and has proven to be not only effective in helping reduce relationship distress but has also proven to facilitate lasting change. This workshop will help you reduce conflict and distance and create trust and intimacy so that you can have what you want, a secure and loving bond.

The workshop follows a logical order and will cover the following issues: 

• Understanding Love and Attachment
• How Love Goes Wrong
• Finding the Raw Spots
• Fixing Mistakes and Creating a Secure Base
• Becoming Open and Responsive
• Forgiving Injuries and Trusting Again
• Tender Touch and Synchrony Sex
• Keeping Your Love Alive and Caring for Your Relationship

While the support of a group is often helpful, you may not want others to know you are taking the workshop. I understand, and want you to know that I offer an incognito setting via Zoom that will make your participation anonymous. Neither your names nor your images will appear and only I will know you are there.
